Commercial Insurance Broker (SMEs)

Our client (a growing Commercial Insurance Firm) is looking for a Commercial Insurance Broker (SMEs) to join a team where fun, respect, collaboration, transparent communication, and simplicity are paramount. Your mission? To develop and solicit commercial clientele while providing quality customer service. You will identify client needs and propose the best-suited protections.

“Commercial Damage Insurance License Required”

Your mission as a Commercial Insurance Broker (SMEs) will consist of:

  • Respond to incoming quotation requests, complete proposals, and submit them to insurers to obtain quotes.
  • Inform, advise, and sell the products offered by various companies.
  • Provide customer service and follow up on necessary files and/or transactions (renewals, new business, claims).
  • Review and process insurance contracts. Review conditions during renewals.
  • Work with various software and IT systems (in-house software, insurance companies).
  • Maintain up-to-date client files.
  • Communicate in writing or by phone to receive or transmit any verbal or written information.
  • Sell insurance products and determine payment terms.
  • Negotiate with clients and insurers.
  • Direct claims to insurers. Intervene with the insurance company or any other stakeholder in case of disagreement with the client.
  • Follow up on accounts receivable within their module.
  • Participate in departmental meetings or any other company meetings.
  • Attend training when required to stay updated on various insurance products, related products, IT systems, and/or any subject related to the job.
  • May be called upon to perform any other tasks requested by their supervisor or any other company executive.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Hold a college diploma in Commercial Damage Insurance.
  • Good communicator with a strong customer focus.
  • Business development oriented, with persuasive sales skills and negotiation aptitude.
  • Comfortable in a changing environment and able to work under pressure with autonomy, judgment, and resourcefulness.
  • Knowledge of insurance-related systems and software (ability to navigate IT systems easily).
  • Proficient in decision-making, demonstrating discretion and integrity.
